MISS invites applications, on a rolling basis, for E-Internship for the following projects.
(i) Mapping Terror and Insurgent Networks
(ii) Regional Economic Cooperation and Connectivity in Asia
(iii) Women and Youth in Peace and Security
(iv) Organized Crime and Illicit Trafficking
(v) Fragility, Conflict and Peace Building
Application Procedure
The E-Internship is open to students with a Master’s degree. Students enrolled on the Master’s Programme can also apply. The E-Internship is usually for three months and can be extended depending on the outcome and mutual interest. The E-Interns will work as Researchers in the projects assigned to them and are expected to write at least two publishable articles during the period of E-Internship, which may be considered for publication on MISS website. The internship provides young scholars with an opportunity to work on issues of national and international importance under the mentoring by strategic advisors and assist in other projects depending on the candidate’s interest, skill set and future goals. The programme is an exhaustive programme created to build capacity and would entail a minimum of three to four hours of work each day during the period of internship.
The schedule under E-Internship is flexible and provides an opportunity to work with Mantraya’s team of Experts and Advisers. We invite researchers and students to avail of this opportunity. We strongly encourage those interested in primary and field research to contribute to this initiative.
To apply, send a formal letter addressed to the Director along with your bio-data, a passport-size high-resolution photograph (above 100 kb size), a writing sample of 500 words indicating your preference for any of the Projects, and a tentative date for joining the internship programme to mantrayaoffice@gmail.com and bibhuroutray@gmail.com
Since a large number of applications are received and we may not be able to respond to individual emails. However, short-listed candidates will be contacted within a week for further requirements, which include completion of assigned tasks and an online interview.
